4.0 out of 5 stars. great read but needs better editing

Good fun read, written in an amusing fashion but I have to say I found the continued use of inappropriately placed question marks really annoying. Also the use of the word too when it should have been to, which I see a lot of in books occurred a few times but that wasn't as much of an issue. If it hadn't been for the question marks, I would have given 5 stars. A bit more editing and this would be a great book but it was a freebie so can't complain too much.

Authors note: The book has been completely re-edited since this comment was posted.

Steve asked me recently what I was reading, Martin Luther King's autobiography I said, he went on to say I could download a few of his books if I wanted so I said will do, so while I was reading the MLK auto i decided to have a quick peek at Market Lads read a couple of pages to get the jist of the book, well a couple of pages turned to a couple more as I started to get into it and eventually carried on and read it to the end, as Steve and I are the same age I could identify with a lot of the 80s references, really enjoyed it. Sorry Mr King but I'll be right back with you!

5.0 out of 5 stars... the life of an eighties teenager looking for as good a time as he can manage.
Format: Paperback.

This is a shoot from the hip story about a week in the life of an eighties teenager looking for as good a time as he can manage. The book is what you may call less than PC littered with sexism and unbelievable chauvinism yet the whole thing rings so true for that period. Believe me you will feel sorry for all the women in this guys life including his mother. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and it is just as well I am not easily shocked by bad language and some of the questionable goings on. I can only hope the author has grown out of the despicable behavior demonstrated in the pages but then some people never grow up. In truth I hope he hasn't.
